a double-edged sword
Well, before I get the review about the product itself, the fixture took almost a month to receive. The website had no indication of any sort of delay time, leading potential buyers to believe it would be shipped right away; this fixture had to actually be made from scratch upon order. The fixture is extremely delicate; almost paper thin sheets of Mica - not nearly as sturdy or solid as the picture would suggest. Cleaning will be very tedious; these sheets of Mica can chip or peel in a second. In fact, a slight peel has already started on one of the tips. Its best not to touch them at all with very minimal handling. There were no instructions for assembly enclosed in the package. I had to go find the PDF on the website and print it out; which was not easy to locate. There is an upside - the lighting effect produced is wonderful and the color tones are exquisite. These aren't cheap quality but they are VERY fragile. Not recommended for high traffic areas. Proper consideration necessary.
