Stylish but practical

This is a handsome, sturdy lamp. Since you will be adjusting the movable arm, you will won't want it to work loose from the wall.
I recommend substituting the two short screws that mount the cover plate to the mounting plate with 1" stainless switchplate screws. That way the entire lamp is secured more tightly to the wall as these screws will go directly into the electrical box fastened to the stud.

Whimsical Light looks great!

I use is as a vanity light in the powder room. It does not give as much light as the old ugly one, but I replaced the fan with a light/fan combo and that works well if you need to put on makeup or something. The light is fun and well made. Price comparable to online prices. A one of a kind thing costs more than the normal items.
